Day 6: Clun to Chester

Today has been quite uneventful. But lonely. My right knee is starting to feel a little sore but a Dutch man at the youth hostel gave me some cream for it. No idea what it was. I started early this morning and was very tired, but a friend Sarah, who stayed with me last night, gave me some energy tablets which I took and I gave myself a strong talking to and soon I was back to normal.

I made a detour this morning, adding 10 miles to my route, in order to avoid some rather large hills. I think it was worth it!

I had a late lunch at a very nice Cafe, and I passed through a town called Cockshott this afternoon. Funny name. Two police helicopters were hanging about above me as well, but I don't think they wee looking for me! The weather has been getting greyer after the last few nice days, and I'm hoping the rain doesn't catch up with me. It's good that it's not too hot, but I don't want to get wet! Keep the texts coming too and the facebook comments. I read every one, and they help a lot!

Tonight I'm staying at a Backpackers in Chester. I payed a little extra and got my own room, shower and a TV!
